What are SMART Goals in Business?

Today we’re going to break down what SMART goals are.

So, SMART goals.

Yes.

Kind of sounds fancy, doesn’t it?

A little bit. I wouldn’t necessarily say fancy. But they are definitely powerful.

I mean, smarty pants, SMART goals. Well, break it down for us so that we know what we’re dealing with.

What does a SMART Goal Stand For?

So, SMART is an acronym. And it stands for:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Attainable
  • Results oriented
  • Time based.

So, when you are setting your SMART goals, you want to make sure that they have those five key components within each goal.

Well, it seems very structured Crystal. I really like the acronym for SMART goal. I like that Crystal. Thanks for sharing it with us.

My pleasure.

Is there anything else that we should know about SMART goals?

Nope, it’s pretty simple and structured. Just follow that formula and you’ll be all set.
