Sunshine: Do you have common sense?

Crystal: Welcome to The Love of Business. I’m Crystal.

Sunshine: And I’m Sunshine. Let’s get to it.

Okay. So, we are talking about common sense. But what I have found is that it’s not very common. And, you know, on what scope of common sense are we actually talking about?

Crystal: Well, let’s start with the beginning. Common sense is not common. That’s a phrase that we hear all the time. Now, that is because every human being has different experiences and perceptions of the world. Now, when you take your common sense and try to put it on someone else, then you’re not going to get the outcome that you’re looking for.

Sunshine: Is that kind of like a belief system? Your common sense, placing it one someone else, it’s not working?

Crystal: Yes, it is a belief system. When working with your team be patient and really train your team on what you want them to do, how you want them to do it, and why it is important. Build a consensus with your team and then you will get the outcome that you’re looking for.

Sunshine: Hey, you missed follow-up.

Crystal: Well, thank you.

Sunshine: You got to make sure that you follow-up. Because otherwise it’s just adjudication, right, instead of delegation?

Crystal: That’s true.

Sunshine: What’s your number one takeaway from today’s video? Leave us a comment. And thanks for watching.
