Sunshine: Are you selling perceived value?
Crystal: Welcome to The Love of Business. I’m Crystal.
Sunshine: And I’m Sunshine. Let’s get to it.
So, I’ve heard about selling on value but perceived value?
Crystal: Yes. Perceived value is our topic today. So, let’s talk about what perceived value is.
Sunshine: I don’t even, I mean, I guess it’s a perception of the customer?
Crystal: Yes. So, it’s very subjective, it’s very emotional, it’s what the customer feels the product or service is worth. So, it’s a feeling.
Sunshine: Okay. So, something can cost maybe two or three bucks to make but the perceived value would be $30?
Crystal: It could be.
Sunshine: That’s a nice profit margin.
Crystal: But let’s talk about some real strategies that you can implement into your business to sell perceived value instead of just value.
Sunshine: Sounds great.
Crystal: So, some great powerful strategies to sell perceived value, instead of just plain value. Number one, increase your pricing. Number two, sell on urgency and exclusivity. Number three, don’t list your prices to the public. Meaning don’t put them on your website. You want to sell the value before you start talking about the investment.
