Sunshine: When your team works from home, are they sitting around in their underwear?

Crystal: Welcome to The Love of Business. I’m Crystal.

Sunshine: And I’m Sunshine. Let’s get to it.

Working remote–

Crystal: In your underwear.

Sunshine: Well, I mean, it’s so relevant right now. But I mean, how do you like stop them from hanging out in their pajamas? I mean, I do it. You know, from the waist down. But underwear?

Crystal: Well, you can’t stop your remote team from sitting around in their underwear. What you can stop or do is hold them more accountable to their work because they could be sitting on the couch getting distracted by their cat, they’re in their pajamas, and there could be a lot of distractions in the home place.

Sunshine: There can be a lot of distractions. Like I got a load of laundry I need to get done.

So, how else are you going to manage your team remotely?

Crystal: Let’s discuss. So, three easy ways to hold your remote team accountable. Number one, set expectations of what they should be doing throughout the day and deadlines. Number two, track their progress. And number three, have daily check ins. Maybe it’s a five-minute zoom call with the team saying what they’re going to work on for today.

Sunshine: What’s your number one takeaway from today’s video? Leave us a comment. And thanks for watching.
