Love too. Business owners can set up a Google My Business page for their business. And once it’s public, you can engage your customers to leave you actual reviews for the public to see. It’s easy and free to setup. So, why wouldn’t you do it?

Crystal, so what are the benefits of these reviews that you want us to seek out from our customers?

Yeah. Let’s talk about it.

Benefits of Google My Business Reviews

With Google reviews, once you’ve accumulated enough reviews on your business page, two things happen, which are great things.

One, that page becomes an inbound marketing funnel for you. Meaning people are searching for your service or product and they are finding you versus you finding them.

Two, it’s also a conversion tool which is great.

Conversion tool?

Yes. You said it correctly.

What do you mean? It’s not a converting to Catholicism is it?

No, that’s not why we are here.

Okay. So, what do you mean by conversion tool?

Let me explain. I’m going to use a really powerful example today to explain what I mean by a conversion tool. And we’ve all used Amazon to buy different products, right?

So, let’s say you wanted to buy a blow dryer. You go on Amazon, you find the blow dryer that looks good, you find a similar one, a competitor’s blow dryer that has the same features. And they cost about the same. Now, one blow dryer cost $19.99. The other cost maybe $22.15. The first blow dryer that costs less has four Amazon reviews. The second blow dryer that costs a little bit more has 569 reviews. Which one do you buy?

I’m probably going to pick the one with the more reviews. I know I’m a blow dryer queen so I’m also going to look at the questions. I’m going to look at a lot of the reviews. And I’m going to want to know how long I can use it for.

Yeah, exactly. You are buying quality versus price based on those reviews.
